Are you a full-stack engineer who values freedom and liberty above most other things? Would you like to work with a diverse, design (data and test)-driven team? Can you make machines do your bidding in a world full of uncertain futures?
If you’d like to use your programming and engineering skills to help solve some of the world’s toughest problems – we might have the job for you. We’re looking for an open source, agile-friendly, TDD-positive person who will work really hard as part of a great team.
The UNICEF Innovation Unit has a set of development needs, including The Tower Project (working title), which is looking to monitor and predict natural disasters and other instances of social stress by looking at new types of data such as volume of calls and SMS or remote sensing data in order to trigger the U-report investigation system.
We are seeking a developer to assist with the real-time prototyping of the Tower Project. You will have the ability to create an open source end-to-end solution that will merge important technical connections between UNICEF’s disparate products.
