This institutional consultancy will support the Education Management Information System (EMIS) in South Sudan.

The South Sudan EMIS 2014-2015 shall include four main pillars:

  1. Data collection, seeking to improve accuracy and timeliness of the collected data by building on experience to-date and the existing EMIS system
  2. Capacity development, to enhance ownership and institutionalization of EMIS at Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology at central and state levels
  3. Provision of timely education information to all stakeholders through a coordinated and accessible platform, to encourage effective utilization of the data and policy dialogue
  4. Designing, piloting, and documenting and advocating for innovative approaches including the use of technology for core EMIS activities (collection, processing, utilization, dissemination) as part of a strategy to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness in data collection and dissemination.
