This institutional consultancy will support the Education Management Information System (EMIS) in South Sudan.
The South Sudan EMIS 2014-2015 shall include four main pillars:
- Data collection, seeking to improve accuracy and timeliness of the collected data by building on experience to-date and the existing EMIS system
- Capacity development, to enhance ownership and institutionalization of EMIS at Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology at central and state levels
- Provision of timely education information to all stakeholders through a coordinated and accessible platform, to encourage effective utilization of the data and policy dialogue
- Designing, piloting, and documenting and advocating for innovative approaches including the use of technology for core EMIS activities (collection, processing, utilization, dissemination) as part of a strategy to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness in data collection and dissemination.
