The Ugandan Red Cross use the innovative digital registration tool Rapid Family Tracing and Reunification (RapidFTR) to locate and reunite families displaced by rebel fighting.

This cell-phone based system enables information about each child to be saved and shared in a cumulative database, which has reduced the time required for information to become available for tracing and reunification from more than six weeks to a few hours.
